FAQs

  • WHAT KIND OF ACTIVITIES WILL MY CHILD BE DOING AT CAMP?

    Activities range depending on the amount of students we have each week and also the staff available to teach each activity, that being said the main activities like:

    • Quiz Time      • Arts and crafts
    • Basketball     • Computers
    • Dodge ball    • Fun and Games
    • Football

    Stay the same at all venues.
    Then depending on availability we add the below activities
    • Drama
    • Gymnastics
    • Aqua Fun

    On Average your child would do 10-15 different activities during the week
    Note: Children do not get to choose which activity they would like to participate in -They have to follow a set schedule. The schedule is drawn up the night before each new day of camp as it is dependent on the amount of students registered for the venue.

  • WILL MY CHILD BE IN A GROUP WITH CHILDREN HIS/HERS AGE?

    Groups are divided into approximately 15 children and are managed by a qualified coach and teaching assistant.

    Groups are divided according to age with a range of 2-3 years depending on group sizes e g. 5yr old children will be grouped with children aged approximately 4-6 years.

  • HOW MANY ACTIVITIES PER DAY CAN MY CHILD PARTICIPATE IN?

    There will be 5 different activities a day divided into 45min Session each.

  • HOW ARE ALL THESE ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED?

    There will be 5 different activities each day.  Each activity is approximately 45 minutes in duration.

    The Camp Manager will update the activities every day.

    The schedule will be displayed in the drop off area so you can see this on arrival.

  • HOW ARE THE STUDENTS DIVIDED INTO GROUPS?

    Groups are divided according to age and gender and with a age difference of 1yr either way eg. 5yr old will either be with a small 6yr old or a older 4yr old.

  • ARE THE TEACHERS QUALIFIED SPORTS COACHES?

    ESM Holiday Camps only hires qualified sports coaches.

  • CAN I LEAVE A GUARDIAN AT THE VENUE THROUGHOUT THE DAY?

    ESM Holiday Camps do not allow adults to remain at the venue.  

  • WHWN SHOULD I SEND MY CHILD TO CAMP WITH HIS SWIMSUIT AND TOWEL?

    ESM Holiday Camps don’t offer swimming lessons during camp. 

    Instead, we offer aqua fun sessions in the pool. 

    All sessions are managed by a qualified swim coach and lifeguard.

    We would advise you pack their swimwear every day in case of programme changes.

  • CAN MY CHILD BRING A MOBILE PHONE?

    ESM will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal equipment.  We recommend children do not bring mobile phones, tablets or other devices or toys.

  • WHAT IF MY CHILD IS SICK?

    Please refrain from sending sick children to camp for the safety of all other children.

    Please present the medical certificate to reschedule the sessions to another day.

  • WHAT FIRST AID PROCEDURES YOU HAVE IN PLACE?

    There will always be a fully qualified First Aid person on Duty. ESM Holiday Camps pride themselves on their Health and Safety Standards. In the unlikely event of a child being injured the parent will be notified.

  • HOW CAN I CONTACT MY CHILD IN AN EMERGENCY?

    ESM Holiday Camps will provide you with the contact number for the Holiday Camp Manager responsible at the venue your child is attending.

  • DO YOU OFFER A SIBLING DISCOUNT?

    ESM Holiday Camps offers a 10% siblings discount on the 2nd, 3rd children. They have to be either brother or sister and not cousin and nephew and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts.

  • CAN WE GET TRANSPORTATION AND CAMP REFUNDS?

  • ESM Holiday Camps do not offer refunds on both transportation as well as camp fees. We will credit the camp fees to any other week withinn the respective camp duration. Transportation fees are fixed and managed by STS who are a seperate company to ESM. Management will however make exceptions for special circumstances and will be agreed upon by the camp director.

  • WHAT TO WEAR?

    Wear casual or sports clothing – we recommend shoes / trainers. Please ensure all bags, clothing, containers are clearly labeled.

  • WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO BRING?

    Please bring swimsuit, towel, drinks and lunch box.

  • WHAT SAFETY PROCEDURES ARE IN PLACE?

    ESM Holiday Camps carry out risk assessments of all facilities prior to the start of each camp.

    Any concerns regarding the suitability of facilities are raised with the venue management who will ensure any issues are resolved prior to the start of the camps.

    Due diligence of all coaching personnel is carried out to ensure compliance with UAE laws and international best practice including child safeguarding.

    There will be a school nurse on site and/or qualified first aid staff.

    ESM Holiday Camps follow all company HSE policies and reporting procedures.

    The rules and regulations are explained to the children on the first day of each week of camp.

  • WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS A MEDICAL CONDITION?

    It is vital that we are made aware of any medical conditions and any prescribed medication that your child is required to take. We also advise you to speak to the nurse or designated first aider at the venue.

    The contact details can be provided to you in advance of your child attending the camp.

  • WHAT IF CHILDREN ARE BADLY BEHAVED?

    All staff treat children with respect and expect this to be reciprocated by the children.

    Good behaviour and sportsmanship is highly encouraged at the camp.

    Bad behaviour will not be tolerated.

    If a child is behaving badly, the camp manager will contact the parents to speak to the child when they get home.

    In the event the behavior doesn’t change or worsens, children may be removed from camp to ensure the safety of other children.

    ESM Holiday Camps also has a "No Bullying Policy" – Children will be asked to leave immediately in the event of bullying of other children.

  • WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO BRING THE KIDS AND WHEN DO I PICK THEM UP?

    Drop off is between 8:15 am and 9:00 am and pick up is between 1:30 pm and 1:45pm for half day Camp and 5:00 pm for full day Camp.
